about

This song is a bitter and angry recollection of events. An account of feeling completely let down by who someone turned out to be. This song marks the moment when anger became determination and started the next chapter ‘Going for broke’. The song is based on dynamic extremes between transitional use of a key folk tune theme and descriptive melodies over rolling rhythm textures. As the song break down, a long drawn out rhythmical battle between emotion and reason builds towards a dramatic sweep and release into the final chorus.

lyrics

Ladies and gentlemen look what you've done
Maybe it's more than you know
Lady and gentleman look what you've done
now you've pushed him as far as he'll go

Why can't you see that you're asking too much of him
taking for granted his goodness
stopped by his anger he wont go much further
you're burning your bridges it's so sad

Know how you've got this thing so wrong
too soon to just call out what you've done for so long

Don't put us all down and expect a big smile and a show
don't think its all fine to treat people like this for your own gain

See how the evening goes
See how the evening goes

We call you out and you stumble
We call you out and you're lost for words

See how the evening goes
See how the evening goes
