about

This song is written through a nostalgic sense; the song recounts a rosy perfect day, being small and playing in my childhood garden. Waltzing and climbing through nature whilst playing amongst violin butterflies, our longest song of the album takes us on a retrospective journey back to a familiar, untainted childhood innocence.

lyrics

I was wondering what I would do
then I thought maybe I could make my own little home
where there always is something to do
and I get lost in my own garden for the whole day

I climb into it under my tree
where there are bugs
weather is warm
where there is only me

I built houses from flowers and treetops were towers imagining for hours
I build houses from flowers and treetops were towers imagining for hours
a rabbit hole's my home
then we run back inside

the house on the hill
where everything's still unspoilt
the house on the hill
where everything's still unspoilt

at the back of my garden you'll find
my old swing still hanging how did it once carry me
walking through the woods back to the field all of the deer have kept the path well trodden for me
and the styal still holds me up strong
but it gets smaller
it's much smaller
it's so small to me now

I built houses from flowers and treetops were towers imagining for hours
I build houses from flowers and treetops were towers imagining for hours
a rabbit hole's my home
then we run back inside

the house on the hill
where everything's still unspoilt
the house on the hill
where everything's still unspoilt

and I still
and I sill
get lost
get lost

I built houses from flowers and treetops were towers imagining for hours
I build houses from flowers and treetops were towers imagining for hours
a rabbit hole's my home
then we run back inside

the house on the hill
where everything's still unspoilt
the house on the hill
where everything's still unspoilt
